The Adventures of Little Miss Candy Cane Jayne, Entry #1
Hello Everyone! My name is Candy Cane Jane and I am one of Santa's special elves. I live at the North Pole, but I get to travel all over the world! I have been to so many places that it would take me an entire year to tell you about all of them! My friends at The Burning Barrel Farm are kind of enough to let me come visit them whenever I am close by. Alex and Amy love to make me a cup of homemade hot chocolate and little Miss Morgan, well she makes the BEST banana white chocolate chip muffins I have ever eaten.
One day, I was sitting in their kitchen and we were chit-chatting about my latest adventure to Ireland where I visited my cousin, Gael (she's a leprechaun, you know) and Alex suggested I write my adventures down. He said I could even use their blog! And I thought, "What a novel idea!" So here I am introducing myself and letting you know how excited I am to share with you some of the adventures I have had in some of the coolest places in the world. One of my favorite places to visit is The Burning Barrel Farm. I will include a few stories from my adventures here with the Lucy Family. We have had quite a few, that is for sure!
So for starters, I will make this entry brief and just say the basics (at least for now). First of all, I am older than anyone reading this blog. I was born on Christmas day many, and I do mean many, years ago. My job is very important at the North Pole. I am the primary hot chocolate maker for the big man himself, that's right...Santa Claus! That's a big job, you know. And that is exactly why I have to travel all over the world. I find the best ingredients for Santa's hot chocolate and if he approves of the recipes I make, then I get the best cookies for a treat. My favorite cookie is the white chocolate macadamia nut!
All the elves are my brothers and sisters. We are not exactly related, but we treat each other as if we were. Santa does not like any strife in his workshop and he and Mrs. Claus work so hard to make us all feel loved and welcomed. Whenever Mrs. Claus comes to visit us in the kitchen, she always ask each one of us about our day and then gives us a piece of her favorite candy: peanut butter rolls. She makes them herself.
I am not allowed to take pictures, that goes against code 12.25 in our Rule Book. However, Santa said I could get Emily to draw a picture of me and show you guys. She is such an incredible artist! I will see if she can do that in my next blog post.
I am so very excited to interact with those who wish to read my blog. I am going to try and post a couple times a week and as we get closer to Christmas, life is going to get so much more interesting. I can't wait to tell you what we do at the North Pole in preparation for Santa's big ride! And it isn't always a smooth one. Thank you for taking the time to read about the Lucy family in their personal blog and, hopefully, you will enjoy my blog on their page! I am squealing with excitement!!!
Until next time...
Candy Cane Jane
